The University of North Carolina was one of the first colleges in the country to start FCA. In the late 1950's a pair of brothers from New York City chose to play their college basketball at UNC under Frank McGuire. Danny and John Lotz were instrumental in getting FCA started not only at UNC but also the state of North Caroiina. Over the past 65 years, countless coaches and athletes have been part of the FCA ministry.

In 2017 a unique partnership began between Athletes in Action (AIA) and FCA. Six years later the partnership is thriving thanks to knowing that AIA and FCA are simply better together.
